ALL DMF PLAYERS MUST ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING RULES:
- A helmet with a face mask and a glove are mandatory and must be supplied by the individual player in every division. Helmets must be worn with chinstrap done up.
- Proper running shoes or ball cleats must be worn (absolutely no sandals).
- Absolutely no jewellery on the ball field (medical alert exempt).
- No foul language or inappropriate behaviour.
- Treat umpires, players, coaches and spectators with respect.
- Players, family members, spectators and volunteers will abide by Haldimand County policy "2012-02; public conduct on Haldimand County property."

1. Players should plan to arrive at park at least 15 minutes prior to game. If unable to attend any game or practice, the coach should be notified 24 hours in advance whenever possible. 10 minutes will be allowed for a team to get the required number of players to the park for a game. If unable to do this, the game will be forfeited BUT will be played. Split teams in two and play for fun.
2. All players must wear team shirts to all games along with either rubber cleats or running shoes. Players can wear either pants or shorts but it is recommended that pants be worn for safety reasons.
3. No jewellery may be worn except for medical alert bracelets or necklaces.
4. All players must wear a helmet with a face mask and with chin strap done up when batting and running the bases. It must remain on until home plate is crossed. It is highly recommended that pitchers wear a pitcher's mask.
5. Only players, coaches & scorekeepers may be on team bench and all players are to remain in bench area during the game.
6. Player Call-Ups:
Call-ups will be allowed only if needed to make a team up to a maximum of 10 players. A team cannot carry them as extra players or sit a member of the team to allow a call-up to play. A list of team to team call-ups will be provided to the coaches.
* Tyke to call up from T-Ball only.
* Atom to call up from Tyke only.
* Peewee to call up from Atom only.
* Bantam to call up from Peewee only.
All call ups are to wear their own team game jersey. Call ups may not pitch or catch. Call ups must have played with their own team the previous game in order to be called up.
7. If games are cancelled for any reason, the coaches will be notified by a member of the executive. The coaches will then notify their players.
8. No lead-offs are allowed. Foot must remain in contact with the bag until the ball leaves the pitchers hand.
9. No player is allowed to block a base including home plate.
10. A substitute runner may be allowed due to injury once a batter/runner has reached first base. Last runner of the same gender acts as substitute. A game may be delayed to allow a player who is bleeding the time needed to treat and cover their wound if that player is needed for play in field or to bat.
11. No smoking by any player or coach within 20 metres of diamonds.
12. Players, coaches and spectators MUST NOT harass or direct discourteous remarks towards any person at the park.
